This oil is fabulous for a dry, sun damaged and mature skin, which is due to its interesting Fatty Acid profile, so naturally it is an integral ingredient we've formulated into the Eve Skincare Bar.
Botanic Name: Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil.
The right types of skincare oils work better than oil-free products to normalize oil production, reduce the signs of aging, and refine the skins texture. Natural skin care oils do not cause oily skin or clog pores. Only when used with synthetic oils (like mineral oil) or some heavy (comedogenic) oils do we run into these problems.
Macadamia is a very unusual vegetable oil, that has a wonderful affinity with the skin, for natural skin care it leaves the skin clear, shinny, healthy & comfortable.
Mixed with our other ingredient jojoba oil, macadamia oil is a very effective natural skin care combination for acne prone and pimple prone skin types.
Palmitoleic acid:
Macadamia Nut Oil contains one of the highest sources of Palmitoleic Fatty Acids, between 16 to 23%.
Palmitoleic is vital for delaying skin and cell aging, as our skin ages it rapidly becomes depleted in Palmitoleic Acid.
This is why we use Macadamia nut oil, as its the perfect inclusion in our secret natural skin care formula for anti ageing, and assisting in repairing sun spots from your face.
Oleic acid:
This Fatty Acid gives Macadamia Nut Oil its fantastic rejuvenation, regeneration and moisturizing properties.
Linoleic acid:
This is a wonderful fatty acid, that helps to prevent trans epidermal water loss (TEWL), from the skins delicate tissues.
High in phytosterols:
These have a real affinity with the skin. Plant phytosterols are the building blocks of our cell membrane.
These sterols work the same way that cholesterol does in our skin, which is one of the reasons why Macadamia nut oil has great skin penetration abilities.
Phytosterols are also calming and healing, which is why the oil is perfect for repairing the skin’s barrier function.
